Date?

Re: Date?
Great - it'll be good to see you too again!
Pirate, to answer your question, we usually have 8-10 LJ's, and around 20-25 people at these meets. So far this year we have confirmed:
Myself and my family, 6 people with 3 rigs total (prob. one LJ10, one LJ20, and the LJ81)
Smuz and wife, with 1-2 rigs
Myers and wife, with one LJ20
Tom and wife with one LJ10
Redsnodog & wife with one LJ10
Jake (Lj20colorado): 2-3 rigs, not sure which ones
nickademusss - one LJ20
That right there is 10-12 rigs. I'm hoping the Tweedy's will make the trip too, but haven't heard a definite "yes" from them yet. There are also a few people thinking about coming, who do not have LJ's.
And yes, if you showed up, we could probalby find a rig for you to drive, at least part of the time!

Re: Date?
The Tweedys have a trip to Canada scheduled as this is the last year our cousins will own the resort up there.
I'll be in that area of Colorado, but it'll be the second week of June with the Arkansas Crawlers.

10-12 rigs thats awesome , I invited my welder friend Tom, dont know if he can make it, he and his son have some custom Samurai's. They are both Suzuki fanatics.
I know some where drive campers down, where are you staying? is their a tent campground near it?
I may camp as well....

We plan to stay at the Eureka townsite, just northeast of Silverton on County Road 2. It is primitive camping - no hookups or anything. A couple of people are staying in Silverton in hotels or cabins. There are pictures of the campsite in the 2005 meet thread.

Re: Date?
I tend to drive my stuff to these events which, in this case, might be bad for both me and the Samurai (950 miles one way)...
That said, I am wondering if a stock '02 Tracker 4x4 could participate on the trails?
It worked okay on a very unimproved (slightly rocky) one-lane county road between Jerome and Prescott Vally AZ and it won't be hard on my Kidneys.
Or might this be too "festive"?

Ok with me; at least it's a Suzuki (even though it may say Chevy on the front!)

Re: Date?
Hell. we've had a Land Rover, a Jeep, and several Samurai's go with us. Nuthin wrong with a Sidekick or Tracker.
But we WILL make fun of you if you can't keep up.

The above is my opinion. It is subject (like all my opinions) to debate, disagreement, rude gestures, and loud raspberries.
Re: Date?
That kinda goes without saying. The only trail with any sort of challenge is Poughkeepsie Gulch - if your Tracker is stock, that may be a problem, only because it'll weigh twice as much as any of the other rigs in our group!Smuz wrote:But we WILL make fun of you if you can't keep up.
