2008 Meet ....... Afterwards
Well, the 2008 meet is now history.
And it was GREAT!!!!! We had 7 LJ's show up. All ran the course with no breakdowns or problems. The only minor damage was Wilson came out of the truck with a broken front bumper mount. Nuthin duct tape didn't fix right up.
Everybody but Ruby and me left Sunday. We stayed over and left the campground about 11am this morning. We made about 4 miles down that rough-ass road when Ruby's tow vehicle up (a Ford F-150) broke a left tie rod end. He tied it back together and we limped the poor little thing into Cochrane, where Ruby picked up a tie rod end at NAPA and replaced it on the side of the road. Happy ending.
I'm now at a Super8 in Cranbrook getting ready to go eat. Gawd, a hot shower was nice.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot; Steve buried his RHD to its eyebrows in a mud hole and Linda bent the front bumper on the V when she drove into the opposite mud hole.

Re: 2008 Meet ....... Afterwards
I didn't know Meyers went
Yeah, on our way to the montana meet we had a trailor tire go out... luckily the lj caught a guys attention and he directed us to the nearest Les Shwab (spelling? haha) But its a good thing Smuz stayed huh? being all by yourself wouldn't have been fun. Glad you got it fixed.
Looked fun though... was there a lot of mud there?

Re: 2008 Meet ....... Afterwards
We made it home late Thursday afternoon. Great LJs + great folks + great area + great trails + friendly borders = A BLAST. Will post pics after catching up on mowing grass at home and shop.
Ruby, glad the tie rod worked out ok and safe. If it was to break, better on a side road instead of ?????.
Steve, the bigger signs were appreciated.
4300 miles round trip. Had figured on 1800 one way but the extra was due to the detour over to Whitefish, MT and then Glacier National Park prior to going up to the meet.
Thanks to those who have already posted pics.

Are you talking about the ones directing you to the lj meet? Yeah, at the last meet I think he had signs that said "LJ MEET" on a paper plate Thats a little hard to see at one A.M.!

Re: 2008 Meet ....... Afterwards
Here are some of the pics we took. Probably have too many and duplicates of those taken by others but that is an indication of the fun we had.

Just look up the pic and click on add the file and then you can do it again for the next pic... Just remember to do the last pic first, he switches them around when you add them so the last one added is the first pic posted
