Axle Bearing / Oil filter numbers
I'm having a problem finding rear axle bearings locally for my LJ80 , and no parts place has a listing for an oil filter ! Would anyone know the part numbers for these things ? Thanks Don

Bearing is a 35x72x17mm should be a 3500 bearing accoarding to the partnumber but i'm not sure on this one. Size points to a 6207 bearing. Oilseal is a 48x62x9. You need a bearing retainerring too.
Original oilfilternumber is 16510-73000. Here is a crossreferencepage: http://www.oilfilter-crossreference.com ... 6510-73000" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: Axle Bearing / Oil filter numbers
Oil filter is the same as the SJ410 and Samurai/SJ413.
The only difference between an ordeal and an adventure is your attitude
Re: Axle Bearing / Oil filter numbers
not sure if it's the same at the SJ413 but when I went to the local parts store the number for the SJ410 was discontinued but they had 6 as old stock. I bought them all at $3 a piece.

Re: Axle Bearing / Oil filter numbers
Thanks for the info I found a shop Motion Canada and had them installed on my axles , bearings $17.82 each they had to use heat and extreme measures to do the job ! Total bill $221.51 , holly crap it would have been cheaper to get a couple used axles !!Frankenstein wrote:Bearing is a 35x72x17mm should be a 3500 bearing accoarding to the partnumber but i'm not sure on this one. Re: Axle Bearing / Oil filter numbers
No the retainer coller is a separate piece , might be hard to find , the shop polished mine so the oil seal should work fine !zukimoo wrote:did the motion bearing come with the retaining collar?
Re: Axle Bearing / Oil filter numbers
I had a retainer removed once with torches but I doubt that retainer would enjoy it a second time.
