In history class...

Post by deimos_jr »

We were watching a video called "traveling with Rick Steves" or something like that.
Anyway, he was in Greece talking about ancient ruins and stuff, and going through some of the modern cities. One of the islands he was on... i think it might have been Crete actually, he was standing in the city talking when in the background a beautiful bright red lj80 comes cruisin past him. I was sitting in my desk doing this :ohno:

Then, on a different island i saw another lj80 with a soft top, a samurai, and a sidekick.
I was pretty amazed :D I'll see if i can find a video on youtube of Rick Steves with the lj80 in the background.

i went in greece in 91 .....
man , it's full of 80 .
in a day you could see 10 of them , in every colors and shape ....
from show room quality to flower pot !
there's still many on the road ... but not too many parts left .
after the purchase of my first lj ... i send a mail to the spare part manager ( xenofon moussadis ) of the main dealer in athens ....
asking for availability and prices ....
a week later i received a ups package with shop manual and spare part catalog for free !!!!!!
i was really impress by their kindness .
communication was not easy , but possible .
a friend of mine went there about 5/6 years ago ....
telling me that lj were used a rental ..... in crete .
