Re: Kelowna

Got my LJ running tonight (bad connection at the fuse box). I can't leave Kamloops until 1:30 on Saturday. My rig has to be trailered too.

Re: Kelowna

I will be there both days with a buddy in either my LJ or his that he just bought (the nice blue tintop). Been working on mine every evening, haven't tracked down the problem yet.

Re: Kelowna

I haven't figured out yet if it's a fuel issue or weak spark issue. Very hard to start, barely ran, then dies. Plugs are wet, spark seems weak. I ran out of daylight and had to quit, for now. It was running very rich before, I thought maybe clogged jet or a problem with the choke. I did have a probl...

Mine is not running right now either, and I don't have a samurai as a backup. :pissed: Just got home from working on it and I'm about ready to drive it off a cliff.

Re: Kelowna

It's just about an LJ 81 meet!!! I think Colin said he had an LJ 81 as well. If only you would get to work on yours!! :poke: Don't worry, I'm just kidding. I never get time to work on these things either. I know, one day though. Maybe I should just go buy that other one, have a stashed one.

Re: Getting ready for Moab...

Smuz drove 300 miles to rescue us and dropped us and our broken little truck off at our door at midnight. He still had at least another hour to drive home, and he had an activity the next morning to prepare for. Nobody could have a better friend than Smuz. I had a situation that Smuz helped me at t...

Re: Kelowna

I'd like to do a camp over somewhere. :whiskey: If we still plan on both days I'm sure we could come up with something to do Saturday then meet up with Al for Sunday. If he gives us the general area maybe we can scout around a bit first.

Re: Kelowna

Rich, the following weekend you have a wedding to attend? Maybe you could still make it one of the days and we could have a guided tour by a local right near Kelowna. You wouldn't have to get lost trying to find Princeton. :D Thoughts everyone? I think it would be cool to have Canadian 4WD magazine ...

Re: Kelowna

There's much bigger concerns than ticks and snakes :))): It's the beginning of the elk bugling season, don't bend over in the bush. Oh this is going to be fun. Bring some warm clothes and jackets, quite high elevation. Rain gear is a good idea.

Re: Kelowna

I have been thinking whipsaw too. I've never been there but seen a bunch of pics and people describe it. Some of the scenery looks good too. I'll try and dig up some links to the reading I've done, Grant do you have links or maybe maps that people could look at?

Re: My LJ is not a boat

Yikes that's deep. I hit a good mudhole at the meet last year in Alberta, I think only Myers caught that one. Seemed deep at the time.
