Hi

just came across your great website........great to see so many suzis. Thought I would send you a couple of photos of mine if you want to put them on the site please feel free. This little suzi was a great little truck for knocking around the scrub. Not really designed for highway touring.......but it did 3 return trips Sydney to Darwin.......4500kms each way: in 4 days it is a long drive for anyone in one of these trucks! In terms of go anywhere ability...they were truly amazing vehicles. I put mine on its side several times.......no worries just push it back up again and keep going!

cheers

LJ-80 1985 model year... that´s right 1985 it was originally sold in Germany where a friend had it until 2002 when he shipped it to Costa Rica, I bought from him and have since repainted it to a bright yellow finish.

At the moment its pretty much stock but I plan on building it up in the near future.

It has the stock 4 cylinder Suzuki f8a 997 c.c. four stroke engine with a 4 speed transmission and the stock transfer. It also has cable actuated real locking differential.

Its great for off roading in our many rain forest trails which is what I use it primarily for.

I am attaching a couple of pictures taken on a recent trip to the rainforest on the outskirts of San José (the capital city of Costa Rica) please add them to visitors rigs section. The off Road capabilities of the little LJ never cease to amaze me. I will keep you posted of its upcoming modifications (rancho 5000 suspension, bigger tires, winch etc.)

Thanks again for the great page.

Regards

Raul
