Yeah, I got stuff yet to do, as well. Gotta re-wire my trailer (I think. It's acting like it's trying to ground through the coupler), bleed the brakes on Junk, and figure out how to get another rig on my trailer.

Oh, and I guess I haven't posted up, yet, that we will be camping.

Small change of plans.
Since I'm gonna be staying 20 miles away, I'm not bringing my LJ10, just my Sammi.

Other than that, we're go for blast-off.

I plan on being there about 12-1pm on Fri. We'll be in the large oval parking lot on the east side of Pennsicola dam.

Anybody that needs my cell # give me a PM.

We're gonna have a GOOD time!

Will probably be around 5 pm before we leave here and then about 140 miles to there. We will need to check into room first and will then drive to Disney to see if we can find anyone. If not will see you early Sat. morning.

Question for Smuz: Will Saturday's gathering place be the same as you gave for Friday evening?

That is the plan. My thought is to meet in the parking area at 9am or a bit earlier.

I'll likely be at Hogan's with a rowdy buncha "kids". Tan Superduty, Crewcab, longbed pulling a 38' flatbed goose with a "camper" built on the front, my tan/black J**p parked nearby if I'm around. Dad'll be holed up in part of the state park, most likely.

Nope, he's fine. I just don't wanna go thru all the hassle of loading/unloading two rigs twice a day.

FYI about Groceries while at Disney Meet.
At the Disney 2007 meet we used an above average grocery store with good deli located in Langley (west side of dam) If memory serves I believe it was about due west of the west end of the dam or south of where 28 takes off east of 82. Crude map attached

Wednesday September 22
This morning’s Oklahoma City Weather forecast shows cold front will soon be coming from the north bringing COOLER temps and 70% chance of rain Friday,30% Saturday.

Cooler is great news and just maybe the rain will already be south of Disney by a.m. Saturday.

Same here. Changed the mind and will put cover on Miss Alice. Also plan to load her up tomorrow n case of rain friday. Going to the Cooke City Meet I loaded up in the rain, got past Wichata and the rain stopped as did the transmission on the truck which had turned up 18K after we left home.

OK, short recap:

3 of us from Zuks of KC will be convoying down Fri morning. We plan to hit the parking area by 1pm. We'll cruise Hogan's briefly to see if anyone is there, then head to the trails. On Sat and Sun mornings, we plan to be in the parking area by 9am, again cruising Hogan's briefly before hitting the trails.

The parking area I'm talking about is the first turn south (gravel drive) on the east side of Pensacola Dam. Just down a bit is a large oval gravel parking area that's where we'll be. I'll be driving my Purple Dodge dually with a white Suzuki Samurai with huge wide tires.

Since Hogan's is so big and confused, I don't have much faith in finding people. So, if you're not gonna show up at the parking area, the small area on the north side of the road on the north of Hogan's would be a good place to wait.

We'll be wheeling Fri afternoon til close to dark, all day Sat, and Sun. morning and early afternoon. There's nothing structured or set up, it's just gonna be like a herd of cats in a sandbox. But we ARE gonna have a good time.

BTW: We'll be on CB channel 16. If that's too busy, we'll try ch 6.

I'll be rolling out a little after 0800. I figure somewhere between five and six hours to get there, including a stop to diesel up and grab breakfast.

Thanks a million. Wish we could have a world meet so as to put some faces with names.
On second though... when it comes to faces and the name SMUZ???
:pissed: I can say that cause he has already left for Disney.

Weather is going to be great and I am getting to be a real go-getter. Wanted to leave asap this afternoon so I took the wife to work (part time job) this morning and now am all loaded up and getting ready to go-get-her.

Just found this awesome thread on Pirate with some vids of a race at Disney. A great view of about all the river bottom area and the rock climbs with just a fraction of the miles of woods trails.

A quick (and I mean quick) overview of the awesome wheeling area we were at.

Just got home. Us LJ folks visitors/guest were treated great by a great bunch of folks. Am pretty new to this stuff but have made the meets at Cooke, City, Waiparous, Moab, S.D. and this was the second trip to Disney. Disney seems to have a little of each to the others all compressed into one area. AND Disney also has some very small compressed areas marked with tracks of bigger four wheeled things.

Will post the pics we took later.

Thanks for the invite ZUK folks,
