At this rate, we'll have all of the cabins reserved for our group! :layh:

Do you have an updated list of people confirmed to be coming?

I show the following people have made their reservations:

Stevec - 3 LJs, 6 people
Jimny - 1 LJ, 1 person
Ruby - 1 LJ, 2 people
SuzukiTom - 1 LJ, 2 people
Vagabond - 1 Samurai, 2 people

In addition, Smuz, Myers, Idahopaul, Tweedy Bird, AZTony, and Lj20Colorado have said they are going, but I do not know if they have made reservations yet. I also have a few people from my local club that want to meet us there, but to my knowledge, none have made reservations yet. There are also quite a few people on the maybe list; if everyone shows up on all the lists, we'd have about 30 rigs there, and 50 people.

Vagabond, you're a genious!!!! You're right; now if I can only get more than 10 days off; and tell the fiance why we're towing an LJ to Washington state with us....hey, this could work. No, but we will probably stop by on our way up there. (Just in the carolla) to meet some of y'all.

I'm sure that you could find somewhere to park your LJ in Moab and pick it up on the way back.

Congrats  , I just got married a few months ago.
Hey friend, I just saw this today (Feb 6). Congrats, congrats.
Winnie and I will have our 50th in August. During this time we have went the full loop, independent, dependent, and have now been in the interdependent mode for some years. Good luck my friend.

Congratulations Larry and Winnie! 50 years is a big milestone! Linda and I celebrate 16 years of marriage in June, but have been together for 20.

Back on topic, Larry, have you reserved a cabin at Slickrock yet, or are you going to stay in a motel?

OK, I'm actually going to attempt this. We are driving from Albuquerque to Washington state for our lill event, and go right through Moab anyway.
We need to arrive in Wash. on the second or third latest. How many people do you think are going to actually arrive on the 30th or 31st ???

I'll be arriving on the 30th. We'll probably be out and about during the day, in Arches or Canyonlands, but should be around camp in the evening.

Our low elevation snow is mostly gone now, but as soon as you get a little higher, there is still alot. The ground is still rock hard, very unusual for us.

Spring in Moab can bring almost anything. I remember talking to people returning from EJS a few years back, saying it snowed most of the week. The next year, temps were in the 80's or 90's.

Well actually all I was saying is that I wish it was now instead of later, as in I CAN'T WAIT! Nothing do do with what it is doing now or then just that I can't wait.

As much as I can't wait for this meet, I am glad it won't happen for another few months. Got a lot going right now...

 I think that's five of the fourteen cabins our group has reserved, and if Myers gets one, it'll be six! (Better hurry Larry!)

That's 15 people and 9 rigs with confirmed reservations so far. I knoe of one other rig (Samurai) from my club that will be going; in fact I expect that Swill4WD's X-90 will be sharing a trailer with it! Myers, Smuz, AzTony, lj20Colorado, and Tweedy have confirmed that they are going, but have not (to my knowledge) reserved campground space yet. They would put us up to 20 rigs, and if some of the "maybe's" come, even more!

Over the weekend I pulled out the maps and guidebook for Moab, and plotted out a few possible day trips. All are about 50-70 miles total, with half or more on 4WD trails, 5-8 hours, with possible "early exits" if needed. Also looked at a few short trails, though most of the trails right around Moab are the more difficult, with a higher likelihood of vehicle damage. I'll post up some details later, probably tomorrow.

Cool! I'll mark him down as confirmed. I will also call the campground to verify that everyone is listed as part of our group, so they can try to keep us together!

Now that my LJ is a runner, I better reserve a cabin soon.
I don't relish the thought of laying in a pool of sweat, swatting skeeters.
If I wanted to do that, there are places much closer to my house to do so!!
