LJ loading

Post by candyflippa »

My Dad is a beekeeper. He puts the honey he gets into 44 gallon drums which would weigh well over 300 kilo's. Dad always used to use a block and tackle to load these onto the truck until he bought his Lj50.
Then he put planks on one side of the truck. tide ropes to Suzi on the other side of the truck and looped the drums in the rope. Put suzi in low ratio and backed her up loading the drums on the truck. Dad used this method for 30 years. Suzi has loaded thousands of tons of honey in her life, taught me to drive and been round the clock a few times.
ill try and load some photos of her at work!

Yeah, I'd love to see pictures of that!

I had a couple of beehives when I was a kid, it was my 4H project (we didn't have space for cows or horses!) My 5th grade teacher did too, and had one of the old hand crank drums for extracting the honey from the panels. He'd bring it to school with a bunch of panels, and let the kids do the work for him!
The only difference between an ordeal and an adventure is your attitude

It is the silence between the notes that makes the music; it is the space between the bars that holds the tiger.

The above is my opinion. It is subject (like all my opinions) to debate, disagreement, rude gestures, and loud raspberries.
