Potluck

Post by stevec »

Last year's was pretty good, so I thought we'd try it for dinner Saturday night. I think I'll skip the Copper River Salmon (at $22/lb), but will bring some meat to grill. Salads, side dishes, desserts... Who wants to bring something? Maybe deimos can work up some more of his famous chili...

 Salmon's an easy one for me to bring (I'll have to look into getting it across the border though). I'm lucky to live in an area that has many runs of chinook and sockeye, including one of the largest runs of sockeye in the world (Adams River). They go right past my families property and I catch a few as they go by. Every year I catch and smoke a bunch of salmon. By the time of the meet I may be able to grab a couple fresh chinook.

They'll show up if you dangle an LJ10 carburetor in front of their face... :D

Jeff's got a lot to say about showing up for someone whose Samurai hasn't seen the light of day for probably over 3 years... :))): We'll be there (this time), we might just be running the XJ around liberty while the LJ sits back at camp on the trailer.

BTW Steve, the carb didn't fix the problem and I'm lost; looking forward to some input from the LJ population during the run!

It's seen the light of day... Every time Craig opens his garage, it can peek around his truck and see it... :D
