See you there!
Looks like Cheez Whiz will be sitting this one out. We had a friend come over last night, so I didn't have a chance to work on him any more.

Re: Getting ready for the meet...
Sitting in a Comfort Inn in Cheyenne, Wyoming. 650 uneventful miles today. Long 14 hour day, but everything is peachy.
EXCEPT coming across Nebraska on I-80. That piece of I-80 is a 400 mile state-wide construction zone. Took me over 2 hours to get thru Lincoln at 20 mph or less. Ain't going back that way.
Going to bed now and get an early start in the am.

Sitting in a Day's Inn in Jerome, Idaho. 625 uneventful miles today. Long 12 hour day, but everything is still peachy.
Only got 160 miles to go tomorrow. Should have the campsite all set up and be chilling with Meyers about noon.
The TPMS is working awesome. No more worrying about trailer tires.

Re: Getting ready for the meet...
Mom & Stephen should be arriving today, with Amber and Hallie. Linda and I are leaving this afternoon (hopefully these thunderstorms go away so I can finish hitching up!) and should be there around lunchtime tomorrow.
LJ's are loaded on the trailer, and I should get a box of parts this afternoon, including those straps that Myers wanted.

Re: Getting ready for the meet...
Well, the meet's over for me, I'm on the way home. So is Meyers.
Steve, Tweedy Bird, Steve's step father and Dion aren't leaving until tomorrow.
It was hot. And then it got hotter. More details later, I'm in a Motel in Price, Utah and I'm going to bed.

Made it to Colby, Kansas. 600+ miles today. Be home tomorrow afternoon.
Although, after looking at KC's weather forecast (104* tomorrow), I almost turned around and headed back for the mountains.

Re: Getting ready for the meet...
Well did my good deed for the day Wed. while riding arround in Arches NP. Did a tour of all the paved roads then took to the back country crossed the rock ridge and into the blowsand 100 yards arround the first curve is a long bed crew cab Chevy sitting on its frame in the sand. Mom and Dad with 2 kids trying to dig it out with no luck. Got him aired down and helped with the digging. That just was not going to work, it just kep sinking deeper. Time to try the LJ 2nd jerk with my light weight towstrap got him off high ctr. towed him on out. he chose to turn around and go back the way he came. Good thing trail much worse than 3 years ago now almost 11 miles of deep sand. Edie said that was more than enough for her

Re: Getting ready for the meet...
We got home last night; decided to do a straight shot from Crater Lake. Unloaded LJ's and put them and the trailer away. Today washed the truck and camper, and I'm beat.
BTW, it cooled off about 20 degrees the day you left, never got above the mid 80's. Probably cooler at the campground Monday than it was up at Silver City on Sunday. We did some trails out of Hemingway Butte, which was only about 15 miles from camp. Found one spot that would've made Mouser drool!
