Have made it to our room at the Prospector Motel in Silverton, after an uneventful trip from Texas. Our Nissan minitruck didn't really like pulling the trailer up the mountain from Durango to well, but it did it. Have already done an initial exploration of the area, and it looks like It's going to be great! The weather reports call for a chance of rain, but it's nice right now. We've asked around, and apparently all the area passes are open.

We must've just missed you - our train left at 3:30! We're packing up at the campground north of Durango right now and should be up around Silverton by 10:00 or 11:00. We'll probably set up camp, then drive into town and look for you.

Keep on with the updates, UBZ and I in NZ are watching with envy!!!!!!
