I'm as good as on my way. I'll be there with one tow vehicle, and one LJ20, and if it's not too cold, one girlfriend (for me). We usually tent-camp, so we don't need much. I'll let you know if anything changes, but put me on the list, and I'm good for a commitment deposit if ya need it, thanx. Ron......frobuster@yahoo.com

Wow, this is getting big! So far it looks like we have about 25 people and 16 rigs signed up as definites, and a similar number of "maybe"'s. This doesn't include anyone from my local club yet, and I'm pretty sure some of them are planning to go. If the maybe's all show, we could have 10-12 LJ10's there! (I've never seen more than five LJ10's in one place!)

For those planning to go, please send me the following info via email or PM:

Name
lj10.com UserID
email address
# of adults
# of kids
rigs (# and type, i.e. 1 LJ10, 1 LJ20)
camping facilities (i.e. RV, tent, renting a cabin)
contact phone # (preferably a cell phone you will have enroute)

If/when you have a reserved space at Slickrock Campground, please let me know as well. I will keep track of this info, and work with the campground to make sure we are all together. If you are sharing a double tent space or cabin, please let me know.

Sorry you can't make it. Are your parents still going? I think I have them on the list, with one rig.

but only from one toy.......unfortunately, that's the only toy i have even a prayer of affording to tow to Moab.

MY toy, well, first i'd hafta get it built, then i'd hafta sell a kidney to afford to feed the truck i'd be towing it with -- not to mention buying said tow rig (79 F350 flat-bed with a 400m and "fo-on-teh-flo")

OK, I'm officially registered at Slickrock CG; got my confirmation via email yesterday. I'll be there from Sunday through Friday. We have two RV sites, side by side, to accomodate our campers and trailers.

I went for a cabin, I thought, what the hell, might as well be comfortable, although I love camping in a tent. I think I have them reserved for Tue, Wed and Thur nights.

Planning on leaving here as soon as I get off work on Friday before and find places to camp on the way there then show up sometime on Tuesday.

Given that choice, I'd definitely choose a cabin. I like tent camping too, but would gladly fork over the extra few bucks for A/C, as it could still be fairly hot there. Having a cot to put my sleeping bag on, as opposed to the ground, is a bonus!

We opted for just electric and water hookups, since the CG has bathrooms and showers. They put us in full hook up sites, as they are 50', as opposed to only 40', but are only charging us for electric and water if we don't hook up to the sewer.

Does anyone know if any cabins are left? I are really thinking of coming. Let's see how many kids should I bring?

Life is crazy but I may take a time out for a couple of days. My LJ has not seen any trails with me so it would be good to see if she will go or not.

I will check in more often.

Yes I believe some cabins are left but you better hurry. You won't be able to call, they are closed for the season but you can do the on line registration, they still monitor it.

Yes, there should still be some cabins left, but they will fill up. Jimny is right, you can only do the online registration right now. If you don't want to leave your credit card info, you can email them with your reservation request, and have them call you to take your deposit info.

Be sure to tell them you are with lj10.com - if we have a decent sized group, we can get a discount on our camping fees. it also helps me track who is registered (and thus expected to be there.)

Steve I will be up your way next summer as my 2nd son is at UW for his Masters. But not planning on driving the LJ. The 15 pass van full with many of the other kids. I can hardly wait. This may just buy me the trip to Moab.

Will let you know if I get a cabin

Be sure to give me a ring when you are up here!

So far, Jimny is the only one I know of with a confirmed reservation at Slickrock CG (besides myself.) If anyone has made a reservation, please check with the campground, to make sure your reservation is confirmed, and that they know you are with our group!

They are going to try and keep us all together, in the same area. Steve noticed that there is an open spot in-between the cabins and the camper pads that might be a perfect spot for our meetings, campfire etc. Plus the showers are right by there as well.

I know I said I would go, but I dunno if I can get the time off work. seems someone with more time in than me has requested that week. If I can convince them to take an other week Ill be there.
