I have a feeling if anyone took Ole Yeller out for a "bash", Jimny would be more pissed than anyone, after all the work he's put into it!

Alright, I added John's LJ81 to the total rigs coming to the meet. Looks like we won't have a shortage of rigs!

Last year we had 5 LJ10's, and Smuz commented that he didn't think anyone would ever see that many in one place again. If everyone can make it, we should easily top that total!

AWESOME! I can't wait. I will work hard and try to have Ole Yeller there.

I had better get to work on it.

I'm still trying to get Smuz to go.

Still have a lot of people on the "maybe" list, including Smuz, Ruby, Dion, lj20Colorado, Jeff, and artzuk. There are also a few people I've sold parts to recently that aren't too far away, and I'd really like to see them show up. I've made some adjustments to the "confirmed" list; currently we have 27 people and 12 rigs, including myself, Jimny, idahopaul, deimos and Jr., minipigg, the Friesens, Suzy, Myers, and Tweeder.

Please let me know if you have any updates; I'm leaving for the meet in about 3 weeks! :D

Smuz can't make it this year.....
:Crying:
The above is my opinion. It is subject (like all my opinions) to debate, disagreement, rude gestures, and loud raspberries.

Bummer. You're the only one (besides me) who has been to every meet so far.

Ruby, are you and/or the Friesens going to check out places for next year? I think we talked about Waiparous, but I've never been there.

The Friesens may have been heading there but I don't know if they made it.

Nope, no one has checked it out yet.
I think Rick and I are closest.
We will have to go look.

I am on the maybe list (I guess).
I will need my rig in time, and if its able to go.
And if John can trailer it, and If I can get the time off, and a ride.

That being said, I would really like to come.
I guess we will see how things go.
If I make it, it will be very last minute.

Cheers,
N.

EDIT:
Just checked Google Maps for the Waiparous.
Rick and I are about 380Km (or 5 LJ hours) away. :D
Ruby, you are about 8 SJ hours away (700KM).

Hey all, it appears that my brother and I will not be able to make it this year now. John can no longer go, and he was our vehicles ride down. We also don't feel up for driving them down and can't really make other arrangements so quickly.
I'm sure we'll be planning a trip to Waiparous AB yet this summer to check that area out for future considerations. We'll try and let people know when we're going in case anyone wants to join us.
LJ80s, I can't collect them all, but I might still try...

I talked to him on the phone the other night.
Wanted to touch base with him about things.

He never mentioned exactly what happened (and I am sure he will if he wants). But he seemed flooded with work, and sounded like something came up. He was really upset, because he wanted to go. I am sure he will share more if he wants.

I think it would be cool to have a mini Canadian meet some time in Sept or Oct. Anyone interested? Looks of good stuff here in the Kootenays.

Cheers,
N.

I'm heading down there in early Oct for a hunting trip. Maybe I can make a side trip. I was hoping to flat tow my 413K down behind a friends truck. I'll see if there's anyway possible to get those LJ 81's down there for you. I'm not driving the tow rigs at all so I can't make any promises.

Where in the area are you headed?
And what are you looking for.
I see a lot of wildlife around here.
If your looking for moose, or elk etc... I can let you know where to find them.

As for the zuks, that would be really cool.
I really like it, and would like to fix it up, but if it aint going to work its not going to work.

As for the meet, everyone take note.
If its the Kootenays Rick and I should be good any weekend (with notice). Who else could come? Hmmm, maybe I will make another thread.

Cheers,
Nick

hahahah, you don't have to look for elk there you have to run from them!! They are everywhere out there, but I'm guessing you are looking for a nice big bull and they can be a little harder to find.
happy hunting

We actually put in for a cow draw so it shouldn't be hard. 6 points are open too so you never know.

Man I feel bad, I was afraid this would happen especially as this all transpired so close to the meet time. I was just about ready with everything, had an LOA from work so I could get to Kamloops to move Nicks new rigs on the way to the meet when a total jackass screwed everything up for their own very selfish reasons. It is business related and is screwing up things for about a dozen people, although I am the only one who knows the details of it all. I am slowly cooling down but I still feel like throttling someone. I have been very much looking forward to attending this meet as I had so much fun last year. That throttling urge is starting to rise again so I better sign off.
