I'm gonna put Idahopaul down as a maybe, but I suspect he'll be there, since it isn't too far for him. I'm expecting Dion to show up, as well as deimos and jr., and maybe Jeff. Haven't heard a peep out of Smuz yet...
I'm shooting for the Canadian meet in '08. I really want to show up driving my LJ this time.

hey count me as a maybe with my lj10...

i'd be there with our tow rig, trailer "of some sort" and the 10.

me, my bride, and two 'lil ones.

my in-laws and my parents are also maybe's:

thats four, one with an fj cruiser, and one with a regular landcruiser(fj100)

so total we'd be...

6 adults
2 kids
1 tow rig
2 dd's(4x4's)
1 lj10(on trailer)

hey steve,
the tow rig is an 03' expedition 2wd. and we'd probably be splitting our time car camping (rooftop tents and ground tents) and in hotels.

I keep track of this stuff, so I know who it is when they pull in. Also to know what to look for if someone is missing/lost, etc.

Hell, usually it's us looking for YOU!!!
The above is my opinion. It is subject (like all my opinions) to debate, disagreement, rude gestures, and loud raspberries.

:))): That only happened once, and I did make it to the meet before Russ! I think I gave you my cell phone # for that one too, didn't I? I'll send it along to a few people next year, plus Linda will have her Blackberry so I can send email if needed.

Cell Phone? I think I tried to call you and all I got was your mailbox! But up there in the mountains I didn't think I would be able to reach you anyhow. :|

Actually there was decent cell phone coverage in Silverton. After replacing the transmission in the truck Monday, we drove aways, and camped in a Walmart parking lot. (Didn't want to negotiate those mountain passes at night with the camper and trailer!). Next day we drove to Ouray, walked around, then drove up Red Mountain Pass. At the top we came across an older couple in an Audi with the hood up. It was overheating, AND the brakes were making bad noises. They had AAA, but there was no cell phone coverage up there. We wrote down their AAA # and the 1-800 # to call, and told them we'd call as soon as we either had cell phone coverage or got to a land line in Silverton. A few miles before we hit Silverton, we got good coverage, and were able to call.

Jr and I hope to attend. I'd call it a 75% chance right now. If we make it, it will most likely just be the two of us, camping in a tent and trailering the LJ10 behind the Cherokee.

I may not be able to make the meet - between the flood, the snow, and the wind, schools have already been closed seven days this year, and it's not even winter yet. At this rate, the girls may still be in school during the meet!

Back on topic, I have 18 people and 7 LJ's confirmed as going, including myself, Jimny, Smuz, Idahopaul, Deimos and Jr., minipigg, and Suzy.

There are a lot of maybe's so far this year - if they all show, we'll have 45 people and 20 rigs there! Please let me know if your status changes!

Under "confirmed", we have 5 LJ10's, but only one LJ20. What's up with that? We may just start calling these "LJ10 meets".

Well, last I heard, Ole Yeller is owned by Smuz, and if he shows I assume he'll bring Wilson and Mouser, if he brings more than one. Second, I am assuming that you are not towing Ranger, so he'll only make it if Tweeder comes, and has room on his trailer for Ranger.

I do hope Ole Yeller can make it, one way or another. You've done an awesome job restoring 'im! just hope it's not like the movie, where we end up having to shoot him in the end!

Merry Christmas all, It's looking more and more like I might be able to make it which means that Rick would be there too. John, we might have to talk about that trailer of yours. We could throw both of ours on it with yours, power to the 80's!! I'm living in Vancouver right now so I might be able to car-pool with ya most of the way. We could even spend a day in Cranbrook if you wanted and do some warm up wheeling there.

Update: As of right now, we have 28 people, including 6 kids, and 15 rigs confirmed. (I've only included one for Jimny, but I know he's trying to bring more than one.) With the "maybe's", it's up to 45 people and 22 rigs. I put Artzuk on the "maybe" list even though I haven't heard from him in awhile, since he isn't too far away, and because he showed up to the Midwest meet last year. Also put Smuz on the maybe list, but I'm expecting him to show!

We had yet another snow day last week, but the school district is waiving some of the missed days where a state of emergency (3 days due to wind storm) or federal disaster (flood) was declared, so the kids shouldn't miss more than one day of school, and they don't do much of anything educational on the last day of elementary school anyway. We're heading out wednesday evening (6/27), and should get there Friday by lunchtime.

Also, it appears that there is no cell phone coverage in Cooke City yet.
