Anybody have any damage from the PNW meet, post it here.

My carnage:

1. 2 shreaded trailer tires
2. 1 ground up trailer wheel
3. 1 broken winshield on my 1999 Dodge dually
4. 2 broken front bumper brackets on Wilson.
5. Completely empty wallet from buying gas.

Yeah, I left my gas cap at the Esso at Hiway 10 and 99, my new one that the chrome still shines on. I had to put the rusty one back on that I found just after replacing it with the shiny one. I was distracted as this was the first Hortons stop after getting back across the border.

My only carnage was the exhaust manifold on the LJ81. Man that thing is loud! Linda said the oil light came on on her way home Sunday morning. She pulled over at the summit and let it rest a few minutes, then drove the rest of the way home without problem. I think it must've been the hot exhaust blowing right onto the sending unit (which, of course, is right under the manifold), so that it sent a false reading, 'cause it had plenty of oil. She said the temp. gauge still read normal the whole time.

A dented front bumber was all, happened at the big rut where Steve had some wheel up action. Most of us had some fun at that spot.

A smelly clutch, no brakes, and a clogged exhaust. But it was like that before.

But if you want to talk about human damages.....

Didn't break anything at the meet. However, Nick's Landcruiser (tow vehicle) decided it didn't like it's turbo anymore on the way home.

Youch, a small problem since he's trying to sell it. That sucks.

Yeah, that does suck. Hope he gets it fixed without much trouble.

Well the turbo is supposed to be back this Friday. I think it cost him around $575 to get it rebuilt and about another $500 in labour and other parts he needs as a result. Should be running again by Monday night.
But yeah, it's a sucky thing to happen.

I heard that gas was put in it on accident....

Turns out the fuel was fine, however, something came lose from some where and entered the turbo and did some damage. No one is sure of where it came from yet, so it's kinda weird.

I'd suggest a compression check, make sure your valves are in one piece and check the glow plugs if there are any.

UPDATE: Got an exhaust manifold for the LJ81 - thanks again Rick and Glen!!!!

Still waiting on a new gasket before I put it on, but then the LJ81 will be back in action!

Well the mystery part in the landcruiser must have been a part from the turbo housing. It's all back together and running fine now.

Hope that manifold works for you steve, it also has some hair line cracks in it, but at least it's in one piece!

Yeah, I saw two cracks in it, in roughly the same places my old manifold had cracks. It'll work fine though, thanks!
