Any other parts that are direct replacements.

Thread size of the original gear stick/knob

Post by dunstan »

Does anyone know what thread size the original gear sticks use?

I'd like to buy a new knob with the shift pattern on it, but I'm not sure which thread size to get. When I measure the width of the threaded part of the shifter it's 0.3", which doesn't bear any resemblance to some of the knob sizes I've seen on the web, such as: "3/8-24 and 3/8-16 thread". I'm not sure what those measurements refer to.

Any tips?

Refers to the diameter and thread pitch. Don't know what the Lj size is though.
