Front axle compatibilties.

Post by Smuz »

Gawd, I love Suzuki's!!! These things are the Chevrolet of the Japanese imports.

I bought a coupla sets of front axle inner oil seals from Stevec last year.

Getting ready to install them, I got a wild hare and popped out the seal from a spare SJ413 Sammi axle housing I had loose.

Not only would it fit, it had the same freaking part number onit.

16 years apart and the same part. Ya gotta love that.
The above is my opinion. It is subject (like all my opinions) to debate, disagreement, rude gestures, and loud raspberries.

also, in case ya don't know, the kingpins, and kingpin bearings and races are the same as SJ413 Samurai. And the inner knuckle felts and rubber seals are the same.

As a matter of fact, if ya have a Sammi in addition to an LJ (like stevec, myself and some others) you can buy a Samurai knuckle rebuld kit and use everything init for yer LJ except for the wheel bearings and outer oil seal, which you can keep for yer Sammi.
