An LJ with Oblivious Inspiration

Post by Myers »

In anticipation of driving “Miss Alice” inside Yellowstone National Park after the 2007 Meet in Cooke City, MT, I had a sign made which I installed on the spare tire. (see pic below) This was done in an attempt to lessen the common question “Why does that thing smoke so much?”

Since then, have had numerous comments/questions about the sign but the best ever came this evening, right here in Kaw City.
It came from a lady working in the effort to resurrect the Kaw (Kanza) language. She gives evening classes in a Tribal Building close to my shop. This evening she told a friend of mine attending her classes that my sign had helped her stop smoking. Saying something like “Every time I felt like smoking another cigarette I would think of the old man here in Kaw with the sign on the back of his little vehicle advertising that he had had two strokes due to smoking."

Have a good one,
Myers
