My LJ

Post by LJCrazy »

Great website. I didn't realize that there were so many LJ enthusiasts out there. I live in British Columbia Canada and I haven't seen an LJ on the road in years. I have been an LJ enthusiast since they were first brought into this country in the early '80's. I bought my 1981 army green coloured LJ80V in 1982 from a Suzuki dealer in Richmond BC. I drove the Suzuki for a year, then put it on blocks and it's been there ever since. It has 23,000 original KM and looks virtually brand new. I have recently bought an older LJ to offroad, so that my original LJ would remain in pristine condition. I have also owned an LJ 81 pickup and a Samurai in past years. In the early '80's, I spent all my spare cash, kitting out my LJ with every accessory that Suzuki Canada offered. I was wondering if there's anyone else out there that owns or knows of an LJ that is completely original and in excellent shape? I will follow up with photos soon....

Welcome Darren!

We're having an LJ meet here just south of the border from you next summer. I'd love to see that original LJ80V there! In the meantime, I'll be looking forward to seeing those pics!

Where in BC are you? We've got quite a few users from up there.

LJ Meet

Post by LJCrazy »

Hi all. I live just outside Vancouver in Maple Ridge. The meet next summer sounds great - keep me informed of details, thanks.... I'll have to peel the dust cover off the mint LJ on the weekend to get some pictures to post - it's been on there since 1984!!! I'll also send some pictures of my everyday runner LJ80V.

Hi there. Here are a couple of photos of my LJ's. The "Richmond Green" LJ is mint and hasn't seen the road since the early 80's, but the "Desert Tan" LJ is my weekend runner.
