One more detail: Since the trip odometer stopped at 750 miles when the cable melted, I had to use mapquest to calculate our trip and came up with 4860 miles. I'm really glad we didn't have any more trouble than we did! I just wish we had more time in CO with all of you!

You might notice that there is no "call towtruck" or "go to dealership". It was mostly time and trouble. I spent about $150 on repairs / replacement, with the exception of the window and the 'frig. And I almost forgot, I-35 has my 2x10 ramps. Missouri roads are almost as bad as M...

So you get tired of cleaning the plugs, and put in hotter and hotter plugs.
Soon you are not cleaning plugs, but scraping piston bits out of the crankcase and off the reed valves. What a tradeoff!

Update on my sorry state.... Decided to buy a Winnebago yesterday. Big leap of faith.... (found on Ebay), needs WORK. Just might be able to make the 4000 miles I'll need to cram in between June 17 and July 5. Oh, and did I mention this is a 1972, to match my LJ20? Managed to drive it the 100 miles h...

No L40V coming unless I win the Lottery. (New truck, big trailer) I'm going thru payless paydays..... it is going to be tough to get it all presentable. Functional, yes, presentable... Oh well. A whole lot of our lives are on hold for the moment.
