From the info I have, there are a total of 25 people planning to go, including at least 4 kids, and 10 LJ's. If anyone else is planning to go, please let jimny or myself know soon, so we can make sure we get enough space. (jimny@lj10.com, or stevec@lj10.com) If you're not sure, let us know anyway, a...

After a little more research, I've determined that the size of screws and bolts can be determined by the last five digits. Of those digits, the first two are the size, the second two indicate the length, and the last one I don't know. It's usually an 8, sometimes a 7. This may just be a check digit,...

On the topic, do any of you's know what nuts are used to hold the brake drum onto the axle end? As a few of mine stripped when i was taking them off I've not got that far yet, but it's probably an M10 or M12, most likely with a 1.25 pitch. If you can find them, get a grade 10.9 or higher. Over here...

Nuts & Bolts

As I prepare to tear down the V, (new nickname for the LJ20V) and putting a fold down windshield on the Samurai, I've been looking up the various nuts and bolts and stocking up. What I've found so far is that any of the nuts, washers, and lock washers that end in -58 are size M5, ending in -68 are M...

WE are planning on wheeling this area in July. WE were there a couple of times 8or9 years ago and it was great. SAM Sam, how long are you going to be there, and where are you staying? I'd like to get something reserved soon. Any info you could provide would be very helpful! Jimny, do you have a cur...

You should always bring at least one gallon of water per person on any wheelin' trip, in case the trail gets too dusty. :D

Yeah, part of our club list of recommended items is a shovel and 3 gallons of water. I'll be bringing both, and hopefully others will be bringing water!

yes, with a welded dif it WILL pull if you have a smaller tire on one side! I have that problem when my 4 wheeler tire gets low on air. its got locked front and rear difs too. its really bad on pavement. you can hardly go straight. Yup. At least lockers can unlock. If you're welded, you'll get pull...

Use the recommended plugs; don't go to a hotter plug!

Okay, so smuz gets warm beer, and jimny gets a cold. (will the flu work?) For a spare, a lot of people I know who run 33's use a 33x9.50 for a spare. It's lighter, and usually easier to mount. Don't know if this helps you much though. On my Samurai I have 32" Swampers (which measure out at 32.2...

Good 'ol Canadian ey. I like to taste my beer as well, I don't drink to just get pissed. Nothin' can beat a crisp cold Canadian, bottle though, cans taste like crap. Cans suck pretty much everywhere! I bottled mine, until I got the party pig last year. Works great, and keeps the beer fresher than a...
