ya, both tanks I have had now have rusted on the top. so if you look in the hole from the sending unit you see nice shiny metal, but what you cant see is on the roof of the tank. thats where my original tank was rusted out, and my other tank is rusty there too, causing some filter problems.

We decided to drive on some skid trails and see where thay all go. well, to start with we drove over some boulders, of which my buddy got out because he didnt think I would make it! I drove over them with a few inches to sp...

I thought our LJ's had to be registered with a state in order to drive on the dirt roads in CO. check into a conditional title, there are some drawbacks to it but at least yer legal. the only drawbacks are if you stole the vehicle, which you didn't so you are fine. In my state its easy to do you jus...

getting stuck

I was driving my lj10 down the road and decided to go off in the ditch and have some fun, even though I only had rear wheel drive. the front drum splines were messed up. anyway, I got one tire on the back and one tire on the front on opposite sides in a hole and they were both barely touching the gr...

Is the machined circle the same size? if so it would work fine, just move the holes so they match and the machined circle keeps them lined up properly.

drivelines

looking for driveline yokes with the same u-joint as the lj10's with replaceable joints? get a driveline from a datsun pickup from 1980-82. other years may be the same, but I have not researched them. 2 or 4 wheel drive is same. a spicer 1501 joint is used in both suzuki and datsun. if you need the ...

my time must still be wrong. but I work swing and am online late anyways. so, about the tow straps and winches. you have to have a tow strap right? but winches are optional and if you have one that can go from front to back you dont need the strap? I thought about making the mount for mine on a squa...

not to give the wrong idea, my 4 wheeler drives fine on pavement with all tires the same size! just dont try and goose it going around a corner on pavement cuz you know... ya, that safety check list is a good idea! we should have a folding shovel and a way to pack water. Idaho requires those when in...

yes, with a welded dif it WILL pull if you have a smaller tire on one side! I have that problem when my 4 wheeler tire gets low on air. its got locked front and rear difs too. its really bad on pavement. you can hardly go straight.

alpine loop

man. that alpine loop looks fun! the HTTP://coloradobyways.colorado.edu/ByWay.cfm?ID=1 link says it takes a high clearance four wheel drive and takes 4-6 hours to make the loop. but stopping at all the sites would take longer but would be great! what great scenery too. my kids are still a little you...
