looking for elk around skookumchuck area. hahahah, you don't have to look for elk there you have to run from them!! They are everywhere out there, but I'm guessing you are looking for a nice big bull and they can be a little harder to find. happy hunting Glen. We actually put in for a cow draw so i...

I think it would be cool to have a mini Canadian meet some time in Sept or Oct. Anyone interested? Looks of good stuff here in the Kootenays. Cheers, N. I'm heading down there in early Oct for a hunting trip. Maybe I can make a side trip. I was hoping to flat tow my 413K down behind a friends truck...

I will be there with my wife and Rick with his girlfriend. I'll talk to the wife and see what we can bring. Might have to be something we can pick up down there, they get a little sticky at the border sometimes when it comes to meat or fruit. I brought smoked salmon last year and told them i had it...

Ruby, are you and/or the Friesens going to check out places for next year? I think we talked about Waiparous, but I've never been there.

Snowpack is currently about 60-75% of normal! Our snowpack around here is 120-150% of normal. If we get a warm spring things could get interesting with water levels, you know all about flooding. Oh hell, the last summer I was in the Kamloops area after those types of conditions the mosquitoes were ...

Great article Smuz. The more I think about it, I'm sort of leaning towards building my LJ 81 to be more original, but with a few upgraded parts, such as your brake swap. I do have another frame that still has the original driveline mounts on it. mmmmmm I better think this over. That means I'll have ...

OK, so far we've got myself, Suzy, and minipigg as going, tweeder, nick, and Jimny as "maybe's", and Ruby maybe fishing nearby. I'm gonna put Idahopaul down as a maybe, but I suspect he'll be there, since it isn't too far for him. I'm expecting Dion to show up, as well as deimos and jr., and maybe ...

Getting rid of invasive fish species is very tricky and sometimes takes drastic measures (poisoning). People always transport these fish to lakes just for sport fishing but don't realize that it completely screws things up for the native species. I do my share of fly fishing but fishing with traditi...

close to the border and close to the center of the US. Keep in mind once you get into central Alberta and East, it's all flat with some rolling hills. Not much to look at. We actually had a lot of discussion about having it in Canada. Both Smuz and I mentioned somewhere in the mountains up towards Jasper, as that whole area from Banff north is beautiful. Any places up there that would be good for a meet? It's have to be a place where people could bring a stock LJ and...
