Re: Whipsaw, Canada 2017
Throwing out a request here if any one going to the Whipsaw outing has a extra carburetor for a f8 that they would be willing to part with I will be very grateful with cash. At the presant time I have a lj80 and a lj81 that have to share a single carburetor. Have tried a aftermarket carb but can't g...

Re: Whipsaw, Canada 2017
neither the location or the date are that important to a retiree, just let me know in time to get there. As long as the trails are not pure ROCK CRAWLER trails I am up for it. I just want to meet others that have been bitten and infected by the LJ bug.

Re: Whipsaw, Canada 2017
Very much interested in this LJ trip, will be great to meet members of the LJ community from north of the border. The wife and I made a 10,000 + journey across Canada and Alaska in 2015 but did not take the time to make contact with any one from the LJ community. The wife says She is up for the trip...

Re: Zuks of KC - Moab, 2013
Made it in about 6:25 pm what a journey home it felt like Smuz was haunting Me on the trip home. Not really just his kind of luck with trailer tires on the way home. Destroyed two about two miles west of San Jon NM and replaced a third before it popped. All this happening at 9:30 on a Saturday night...

the lj81 completed and back from Canada by then :poke: What's this about? Did he get an LJ 81, and what's the story behind it? Pictures. Did I miss something? The best i can figure out a college student from the far north came down to LSU Shrevport and the 81 died of engin & tranny problems. It...

Re: Date, Location
I will be back out of school by then, the lj81 completed and back from Canada by then, sounds like a good time to go back to Moab. Also fits in to the wifes criteria of less than 6000 ft. elevation and she still wants to see more of the Moab area. Looks like we are a go 1 lj 2 adults and 1 birdhouse...

Re: Date, Location
Moab sounds great. With Edies health conditions We have decided We will not overnight above 5000 ft. Her lungs just dont absorb enough O2. I know these are purly selfish reasons but it is my wifes health I am talking about. I would like to see the high country but her lungs won't allow it. Besides t...

Tom I do agree with you on the horsepower loss due to altitude, but wer also have to remember the air we are driving through is also thinner (meaning lower air resistance(lower horsepower to acheve speed)). Also farther from center of gravity (vehicle & cargo appear to weigh less) so less power ...

Whether the tube is gray poly tube or white pex tubing call around and locate a brand of fittings called Flair-It these will solve your water line splicing trobles without any special tools. They fit both types of tubing and wont leak or break (good stuff) Lows or Home Depot should have.
