The difference in grip is awesome. I snapped two axles with a welded diff but I had a datto 1200 powering it and was giving a lot of hell ( rolling back and I punched it . not very smart) The standard motor will be fine. I know a guy who has welded his sierra like this and that was over two years ag...

But the most obvious reason it is a LJ80 is the hard top doors on a soft top. Only the LJ80 came out with that combination

Can you go somewhere warm? You want warm? How about 37 C and 80% humidity? Would that qualify? Thass what it is here in late june and early july. Yes that would do just fine. It is the middle of winter here and it is getting to around 23 C during the day. That is cold weather. The main reason I ask...

It is three weeks straight of twelve hour days. I get one day off in the middle of those three weeks. I have to be here so I can keep my job.

This was going to be my spending money for the trip too.

Guess you can scratch one of that list now guys :-( The shutdown that was planned at work to start next week and run for three weeks has been postponed for three weeks due a major malfunction in another part of the plant. :pissed: This will cost BP an absolute fortune in having to pay for a lot of g...

The smaller centred one is the LJ50 side gear. This takes the same size axle as the lj20. The larger centre is the LJ80 side gear. This takes the same size axle as the SJ410. http://www.mustangmods.com/data/8276/dsc00316.jpg http://www.mustangmods.com/data/8276/dsc00317.jpg http://www.mustangmods.co...

LJ80/LJ50 side gears are bigger. Some LJ80 side gears also take a larger axle. Am doing the diff swapping stripping thing today. Have to fit the disc brakes of the Lj50 diff to the lj 80 diff and set up the lock rite and the quaife locker. May have some left over if you want me to send them to you. ...

Did you check the axles and make sure they fit the locker. The SJ 410 and LJ80 had slightly larger rear axles ( in the spline area).

What no trips around a cane field  As for the fuel tank did you clean it out. Could have some garbage floating around in there that could be blocking the pick up or on of the dings in the bottom may have bent the pick up so it is not picking up of the bottom. Pull the tank out of the car and h...

I just used a nut off of a volkswagon (beatle) transaxle. its heavier looking than the original for the suzuki. I dont know what year the donor bug was. here, theres lots of those! Most of the VW's are the same. 36mm outer size. Only the Kombi (bus)has a 41mm nut. So one off any of a beatle should ...

Thanks Jimny will do. But remember if you come over here you have to be prepared to drive a fair way to get anywhere. This country is roughly the same size as yours with a tenth of the population. There is only SIX capital cities. And its at least 600 miles between them all. ( There are more people ...

Last shut down I was earning between $2200 and $3100 before tax a week. ( 86 hour week) I earned $12000 for five weeks work. And I blew it all. Will consult the...

I'll take a shirt, hat, whatever. The more you make the cheaper it will be. I really don't think I will be going but it would be cool to wear to my local suzi club meeting. I don't have a spare $2500 for airfares, accomodation, spending money, etc. but if I did I would be on my way.
