Re: Whipsaw, Canada 2017
Was great to get out on this trip, even if I didn't have my own rig to drive! Being a passenger all the time did allow me to get out often for pictures and video though! I will try to get the better ones up here in a bit. Oh and I did ride with Brian, it wasn't as bad as Rick makes it out to be :pok...

Re: Whipsaw, Canada 2017
I was planning to have Toyzuki ready for this, and in fact it will be but my shotgun and tow driver just bailed on me. So unless I can find someone on Vancouver Island that has a tow rig in the next few days I might be out. I do have that stock sidekick still but it's not nearly as fun.

Re: Whipsaw 2010
from what I have heard you should be fine in a stock 4x4. There may be the odd spot where you end up on a rope but nothing too crazy. I was going to bring my stock sidekick and hope for the best but now I'm not sure I will be able to make it. I won't know until closer to game time so I will keep you...

Re: Whipsaw 2010
July 10 weekend would work better for me. I will already be in the area by then. That will save me a trip off the island (150 bucks) and I won't have to race back for school.

Re: Whipsaw 2010
I want to do this trip. If we want to beat the heat we'd have to go early, maybe May long weekend (here in bc anyway) but we may still hit a fair bit of snow. I should be able to do anything in July or early August. Lets try to avoid the long weekends in the summer if we can. I'm guessing it could g...

Re: Kelowna
I checked Save-on-foods (overwaitea) and chapters this morning and nether of them had it out yet. There was a stock boy at chapters putting out new mags but I didn't have time to wait and see if it was there. I know 7-11 often carries the mag as well.

Re: Kelowna
Yeah thanks for nothing GrantGlen, I think it is probably best that you sit this one out.
We'll have to do it again next summer when I actually have a rig to drive and the twins are big enough to leave with Grandma.

Re: 2010 Meet Location
humm, I have not voted yet as it would depend on what rig I can take. I really want to go do the dunes with the ToyZuki but the run would have to be later in July so I had some time to work on it next summer. Badlands would be fun except that google says that it would take 21 hours 28 minutes to cov...

Re: Kelowna
Aaron I'm glad you got your rig running. Maybe you can go up to the lake the way everyone is coming out the next morning. Then your trailer is at the right spot for the morning as well. Right now everything looks like I should be there riding shotgun with my brother. Lets just hope that my wife does...

Re: Kelowna
I might try to make it up and hitch a ride with Rick if he gets the truck done. If not maybe we wheel the sidekick just to get out. It will depend on how the prego wife is feeling though.

Hey Myers have you thought of renting an RV? Could be right at the campsite with a real bed and a flush toilet and all that. Just a thought, I know they cost a fair bit more than a hotel but it would let you be right at camp no matter where we go. As for rigs I know the ToyZuki will be there and Ric...

Smuz you might want to look into the trailer behind a trailer thing a little more. You might only be allowed on the main highways. I know you won't be allowed in the parks or in BC. You might be able to get to where we are wheeling though. Another place to check for more information is http://www.cb...

Just did Drumheller a few weeks ago, had to stay two extra days because a rock took out my oil pan on the way there, stupid vw's with no ground clearance. The museum is pretty cool and the reptile place (sorta like a little reptile zoo) was a hit with Sebastian too. Don't plan on doing much else the...

6-7th should work for me, good as anything from what I can tell right now. I have to be out of my place in Vancouver at the end of June so I might not have a home to live in anyway, or I could be in the middle of unpacking and need a good break. Any way you look at it I wouldn't be a good Canadian i...

Man I'd love to do this, my wife even wants to go back to Phoenix, she was there last winter with her Mom. I just don't know if I can handle the drive, I'm looking at about 26 hours steady driving each way if the roads are good. That and I need to find a truck and trailer too. Might have to just fly...
