3k or 4k toyota corolla engine they're 1200 or 1300 cc cant remember exactly.
I'm pritty sure due to the length there is no intermediate shaft between gearbox and tranfser case.
But it certainly goes pritty good :P

yeah i know of that one the owner lives in the same town that i used to.
Its got a corolla engine and gearbox in it, i believe he said the body is buggered and is lookin for a new body maybe not of LJ style either, think he has a few others also

yeah i suspect that mine is the timing aswell, as on the weekend it had no high end rpms which i needed so ill get my timing adjusted and get a general tune up i think

Hmm that seems to be the problem I'm having with mine at the moment, was running high supression leads but have since replaced them but still have the problem so will try another set of leads and get a tune up done

yeah i didnt mean i shifting halfway up, just tried the different gears to see if it would get up, tried heaps of different gears high and low range. it was just too steep and soft. the prevous year i had got up there in my sierra but it had changed quite a bit over the year

How'd the LJ go up the bigger hills? I know in mine with hills steeper than that it just ran out of guts even flatout revvin in low second and then tried in third, seems you have resonabley stockish sized tyres on, did they handle it ok. Yeah i got champion in my at the moment i reckon cos i couldnt get any ngk, has been running a little funny in this heat so i will be taking them out pronto, thanks guys

Yeah you get used to everyone looking and talking about your car after a while.
I dont think that i have any bad remarks about mine, except my tafe lecturer said that they are horrible little cars that use heaps of fuel, i was offended...lol

Yeah my tank looked nice and clean/shiney on the bottom but i never thought to check the top :roll:
I havnt had any probs since cleaning it out so fingers crossed i wont have any more :wink:

Turned out my fuel gauge prob was the wire had come off the tank :roll:
And i'm pritty sure it was just crap in the bottom of the tank causing my probs :pissed:

yeah well my fuel gauge doesnt work either :? I think its just been my bad i just presumed that the tank was full cos i filled it :roll: I dont think enough fuel is getting into the tank cos it'll go up a bit then the filler neck is full so might be blocked there or something, i've got another fuel ...

Well i still haven't got a new back half of the exhaust made up, but i have bolted back on the original back half of the exhaust but i cut of the little muffler off. It isn't really loud, may be even quieter than my sierra :shock: After i get it rego'd then i'm coin to join on where i cut it off and...

Hey guys,
It's nearly time for the exhaust to be made up and was just wondering what is the best size/ sizes to use and also what muffler to use?
Does the 2 stroke need more back pressure compared to a normal 4 stroke :?:
