Re: CITROA Body Panels for LJ80/81

I did take some measurements, and the LJ80 hood will bolt right up. Hinges are in the same spot so no issues there at all. Between travelling and the holidays, I haven't worked on my LJ's at all in a couple of months. Now I am at the time of year when work gets busier, but hopefully I can get some ...

Re: Replace Lj10/20 drum brakes with disc brakes – a summary

Replying to this original (but old) thread to help with future searches... After getting input from an axle guru friend who used to own his own off-road shop (with custom axle building as their specialty), I'd like to add a potential 3rd option relating to the original post. I've decided to run Sam...

Re: CITROA Body Panels for LJ80/81

Cool. If there's a way to set that shiny new hood on an LJ10/LJ20 to check the fit similarities, that would be stellar. :D

If you could, Steve, I'd greatly appreciate it. With my G10 install, I'm pretty certain I'll need a little more room under the hood to fit it (without a body lift).

Thanks,
Craig

Transfer case speedometer gear output seal size? (confirmation)

The online parts manual (http://www.lj10.com/lj20parts/24.htm) is a bit blurry. I'm trying to confirm the oil seal size for P/N 09285-10001, Ref. No. 53 in the diagram. Is it 10mm x 16mm x 5mm?

Thanks,
Craig

Re: LJ20 transfer case mounts (cross-compatibility w/LJ50 or LJ80?)

From a seller of LJ80 mounts on eBay... (for future search purposes)

These mounts measure 106 mm approx between the holes

LJ80 hood compatibility with LJ20 tub/fenders/grill

So, I'm trying to squeeze some additional clearance under the hood with a Suzuki G10 3-cylinder engine swap, and was wondering if a higher-clearance LJ80 hood will swap on to an LJ20. Any insight is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Craig

Thank you for confirming, Steve. I'll add the LJ20 lower shift boot to my order list from you. I'll shoot you a PM in the very near future.

Thanks,

LJ20 transfer case mounts (cross-compatibility w/LJ50 or LJ80?)

I'm in the process of refurbishing my '72 LJ20 transfer case. The gear oil is very clean (yay!), but it's leaky. I'll be replacing the seals; I'm talking with a local bearing place on Monday to get the proper seals. As I was taking it apart to clean it up, the rubber on a couple of the transfer case...
