The LJ80 hood was made higher to fit the taller motor ... the 4 banger will rub on the metal, need a bit over half inch to clear it from memory. You can get this back with a body lift, one inch should be OK, two inch is better all round. If you keep the stock gearing, you could pick up a couple MPHs...

Question: At what depth should the welds be finished off to, and how much free play should there be between the axles, if any? Welded mine up last week, first up I tried to reassemble but welds were too high, and the assembly wouldn't tighten down, so I pulled it apart again, and ground them down. T...

8) ... so I'm all ready to go. need to do a bit of a repair job on the towbar of the Vit. Head for the bench grinder, with the protective eye wear and all, and a metal sliver cruises up between the edge of the goggles and the bridge of my nose into my eye. :-( So I can't see crap for the next 24hrs ...
