Expedition Utah Announces Relic Run 2013!

http://www.expeditionutah.com/images/relic_run_13.png What kind of camper are you? Coleman white gas lantern? Primus stove? Springbar tent? Flannel shirts and high top hiking boots? Cast iron frying pan and enameled cups and plates? You get the drift. It just so happens we have the event for a camp...

Re: Expedition Utah Announces Relic Run 2011: Skyline Scramb

I'd head over to Expedition Utah and ask that in the RR thread. I don't know this route very well, but someone over there might be able to give you a little better info.

Re: Expedition Utah Announces Relic Run 2011: Skyline Scramb

Finally! :D We should be passing through SLC that weekend, though we already have a pretty busy trip planned. Is this an "out and back" trip, or one-way? I'll have the LJ's with me on the trailer, but if it is one-way only, I need to have a way of getting them back to the tow rig. Keep in...

Expedition Utah Announces Relic Run 2011: Skyline Scramble

As you sit in your office staring out the window dreaming of being somewhere, anywhere but here your phone rings. It's your boss reminding you that the TPS report is due by noon and he wants to see it at least an hour ahead of that. You mutter as he hangs up and you turn back to your computer screen...

Yeah I saw that as I was posting it. Last year it was earlier because we were out in the desert. This year we wanted to make sure all the snow was gone when we headed up into the mountains.

Re: Expedition Utah Announces Relic Run 2010!

You mean we have to use PAPER maps? :ohno: Rats, I just finished making the laptop/gps mount for our LJ! Tom & Nancy Indeed! Paper maps, white fuel stoves, incandescent flashlights. The whole nine yards. Everything needs to be in the spirit of the 1970's or older. You can even grow mad chops an...

Oh I have no doubt in the quality of Trail Toughs work, I have many of their parts. It's me I'm worried about!

I'm still hoping on making this, Trail Tough got my wiring harness yesterday to modify, so if all goes well I'll be up and running again by mid August.

My kids are both girls... I usually prefer dry camping, but I also usually get outvoted, 3-1.

Re: Date, location

A few people are staying in hotels in town; I think everyone who has signed up so far is either in a hotel or at Slickrock CG. Since it could still be hot when we are there, the pool sounds very inviting, especially for those of us bringing kids! If you camp elsewhere, you shouldn't have a problem ...

Is anyone camping outside of Slickrock? There are some great camping spots up Sand Flats Road.

Welcome Stephen; glad to see you signed up! There will be a couple of other Samurai's there, and probably one X-90, so you won't be alone. Hope to see you there! Oh and my stepdad will be there too, so you won't be the only "Stephen". :D Oh dear. I fear there may have to be a battle royal...

SJ413 tagging along?

So I'm not an LJ guy (yet, if your selling let me know) but I am a diehard Suzuki guy with several Samurai's. I'm also a Utah native who has spent considerable time in Moab. When I saw that you're annual run was going to be in Moab I thought that I might head down to check things out. So if you guys...
