Re: LJ20v Rescue

Ahhh, well at 17-1900 per hour, probably a 4 hour minimum plus any travel time, might be a wee tad pricey. Course that's Canadian so maybe not too bad.
And to think, I used to rent an airplane for 25 bucks an hour when I first started flying, must be getting old.

Re: Oil change

VIN numbers, what a joke ! My hi-way tractor is an International, great truck and no problems with it. Originally it was part of a fleet lease so it is a little spartan which suits me fine but a lot of my work is in the dark so I needed to add some back up spots. Went to the dealer to order a switch...

Jimny, you state that premix is not the way to go and that it should run smokey if you do, but you don't say why. Premix is standard in so many applications why would it not be good here ?

What is the tank for? Septic, water, ?? Water, and it was empty. That tank is 1200 gallons and now I have a 3000 gallon on to grab too. Those round bails Ruby are probably over a ton. I've also towed my sawmill with Misfit and that is over 2000 lbs. Actually pulled quite nicely plus you're as maneu...

That's good, when folks not far from here got the "good water" a lot of them got a lot of burst pipes, and many of those were in walls, cielings etc.

Smuz wrote:I just filled Wilson's gas tank.

After all the driving at the meet (7 hrs Sat, about 4 hrs Sun, and a coupla short jaunts) he used just 3.7 gallons of gas.

That is just unreal, my lawnmower uses more than that.
And the Zena Pig prolly burns that just starting up.

Well the way work is going it looks like the only way I might make it is to fly in too, though I could probably get into somewhere a little closer than Calgary. John There's a "Ghost Airstrip Staging Area", don't know if the airstrip is still there though. Is your plane big enough to hold...

Re: Hot Spark Plug....

Some older large marine diesels are like that too. I worked on a tugboat built in the very early 1900's, it's original steam engine had been replaced with a diesel just after the war. To select reverse you shut it down, flipped a lever and then restarted the engine in reverse. This worked great till...

One of mine just did this. It was alwys a little rattly and then one day third started making more noise. Swapped the trans out and found one of the third gears had chucked a couple of teeth. SJ 410 box should bolt up but you will need to swap the shifter mounts. Gear ratios are slightly different. ...
