Re: Moab - April 18-23, 2021
Dang, that'd be fun! Pretty tough getting out of Canada for holidays right now, never mind the fact my LJ doesn't have front fenders, a hood, or a grill at the moment. Maybe next time... I'll probably go again in another 2-3 years, and will post up here again when I do. I'm signed up for a Whipsaw ...

Re: Moab - April 18-23, 2021
Me and a couple of buddies are doing Moab again next month. This is a trip we were planning for last year but the 'rona virus caused Moab to shut down. If anyone can join us we'll be camping in Sand Flats, probably loop A or B. Doot, mebbe next year. If you do go next year let me know. It's a decen...

Re: Moab - April 18-23, 2021
Yeah, this time last year was that first wave, they actually closed Sand Flats and the national parks, and had a stay at home order in town, so no way to make it work (legally).

Re: Whipsaw, Canada 2017
Thinking back to this meet, I remember how my LJ10 seemed underpowered on some of the climbs (even for an LJ10). In Moab the following year I noticed the same thing. Also fouled another set of plugs in Moab, so when I got home I did a compression test - only 90 in each cylinder. Fast forward to this...

Re: CITROA Body Panels for LJ80/81
Warm (50's) and sunny here over the weekend so I pulled the old hood off my LJ81 and did a test fit of the CITROA hood. A couple of notes: 1. The CITROA hood is noticeably heavier. I expect they used a heavier gauge steel than the OEM hood. I'm tempted to weigh the two to see just how much heavier i...

Re: CITROA Body Panels for LJ80/81
I did take some measurements, and the LJ80 hood will bolt right up. Hinges are in the same spot so no issues there at all. Between travelling and the holidays, I haven't worked on my LJ's at all in a couple of months. Now I am at the time of year when work gets busier, but hopefully I can get some w...

Re: CITROA Body Panels for LJ80/81
Just got an update from FedEx, the other parts will be delivered today. I'll try to get some pics of them packed (so people can see how well they are packed), and again after I unwrap them. May not be until after the holiday though; I have a lot going on this week and next.

Re: CITROA Body Panels for LJ80/81
FedEx dropped off the fender this morning, but not the hood or bib. Very well packed!
FedEx still shows "delivery by 11/16", but that the shipment is n Seattle, so hopefully the rest shows up in the next day or so.

Re: CITROA Body Panels for LJ80/81
Ok the topic has been split.
I received an update this afternoon, saying the panels would be shipped next Wednesday, Nov. 7. (I ordered and paid for them last Tuesday, so about a week to process the order.) So far, so good...

CITROA Body Panels for LJ80/81
Comments in other threads got me thinking about this again, so I thought I would update this thread. I'm planning to repaint my LJ81 soon, after I repair some rust. The passenger fender is rusted, and I found where a PO repaired rust in the past, so I decided to just order a new fender. While I was ...

Pretty sure it'll fit, but I'd have to measure to be sure.

Re: LJ20 transfer case mounts (cross-compatibility w/LJ50 or LJ80?)
I think that's a little short. I measured one this morning and it is about 113mm from center to center, or 4.45".

Couple of videos from the trip. These got posted to FB, but I just realized I never linked them here.
